Tip #2 – Make a Commitment to Win

February 8th, 2011 @ admin

Here is more on the subject of Purpose – Making a commitment to win is essential in helping you manage your priorities so you can move powerfully in the market place. Let me show you how this might play out in one person’s life.

Say you have been focusing on a certain market that has been hit very badly in this recession. You might have to re-purpose yourself and being selling into a different market segment. Hopefully you will not have to close your doors. So, making a commitment to win is the first step needed to help you change.

If you did not have a winning attitude, you would find the change process absolutely devastating, but with the right attitude you might even find this need for change a fantastic opportunity to design a powerful offer that can leverage the experience and the resources you already have.

A couple of the companies I am currently working with are doing this successfully at the moment.

One of them is a 3Rd Party Logistics company that is taking advantage of this recession to offer its customers an opportunity to avoid fixed overhead expenses related to warehouse space, assembly and shipping. Their offer is allowing smaller companies to partner with them so they can leverage this companies resources and pay for space, production lines and fulfillment services ONLY when they need them. Helping reduce costs, risks and headaches. They are currently talking to 3 new prospects.

Another company an Animation and 3D Studio that has been selling services into the Luxury Real Estate market has found a lot of interest in the Defense and Aerospace market that is not being hit with the same financial problems. They have dedicated one salesperson to this market segment and re-purposed another from the real estate space to work with him. Their revenues are growing upwards of 60% in today’s market.

It is their commitment to win that gives them the edge, gives them the creativity and the innovation to restructure and redesign their sales strategies to win new business. Making a commitment to win, gives you the ability to think differently, I am not sure how else to say this. It is this new thinking that will give you the advantages you need to succeed.

With a commitment to win, you will find a way to grow your revenues because not much else matters.
