Gratitude is one of the most powerful resources we have access to that endures other people to us. This goes down to the fundamentals of human behavior; where human beings need help to survive and that we are at our core, beings of love and like being appreciated at every opportunity.
The secret in all is this is that – when one good event or positive outcome occurs, it usually leads to more positive outcomes. This is something I cannot explain, but it is something that I have observed. Ironically, the opposite is also true.
To take this idea further, it is very effective to help people and be of assistance to others whenever possible, because then you will have others who are grateful to you and they will be willing to return the favor. The cycle of gratitude grows. This function of people being grateful and helping each other back in return for this gratitude is the force that moves deals along, dropping costs and increasing profits.
Given this reality, please consider being sensitive to all you need to be grateful for. Give thanks to those that help you and that assist you along the way.
In Conclusion:
In the business of making a sale happen – especially in the B2B space, there are many people that are involved in the process. As a sales professional, be very sensitive to all the help you in moving these deals forward. Very often it is the “little people” that have the biggest impact. Hence, there are no “little people” and everyone is important. Be grateful for their role in the process of helping you close a deal. They will appreciate it and might just help you identify and line up the next opportunity.
